DEAN NYBERG JOINS THE BEARCATS

 

The West Adelaide Bearcats are delighted to announce that Dean Nyberg has been appointed Head Coach of the club’s NBL 1 men’s program.

​

Dean’s coaching CV at the NBL1 level is outstanding, with championships at North Adelaide (2021) and the Southern Tigers (2016 and 2018) in recent seasons among a string of finals appearances.

​

Dean also has a great history in junior development, having been a Head Coach and Assistant Coach within South Australia’s State and High Performance programs, as well as overseeing the junior program at the Tigers for many years after being a long-time junior coach at Sturt.

​

The club will support Dean to build both a winning roster and an inclusive culture that develops linkages between our junior, senior and NBL1 programs, via Youth League and Reserves on the playing side, as well as regular interactions with our junior players and families.

​

Dean has commenced work and looks forward to meeting with the Bearcat family at our upcoming junior and senior presentations.
